This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Establish the comprehensive monitoring vision and technical strategy for a fleet monitoring team that covers electrical systems and turbine controls/operability.
β’ Lead the design and ongoing enhancement of monitoring infrastructure, tools, dashboards, and analytical workflows.
β’ Provide senior-level technical leadership throughout the monitoring lifecycle, from issue investigation and requirements definition to analytic deployment and continuous fleet monitoring.
β’ Direct intricate, cross-domain investigations related to fleet issues involving electrical and controls/operability systems.
β’ Guide the development of monitoring requirements, diagnostic logic, and performance standards.
β’ Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to create technically robust and scalable monitoring solutions.
β’ Oversee the execution of intervention strategies for recognized fleet issues.
β’ Represent the monitoring function in discussions across teams and departments.
β’ Mentor monitoring engineers and enhance the technical skills of team members.
β’ Promote ongoing improvements in monitoring methodologies, detection logic, and team workflows.
β’ Work alongside the team lead to prioritize tasks, provide technical direction, and build capabilities without formal people-management responsibilities.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
β’ Extensive experience with wind turbine systems.
β’ Proven expertise in at least two areas: electrical systems, turbine controls, or system-level operability.
β’ Demonstrated experience in developing or leading fleet monitoring strategies, diagnostic methodologies, or condition-based monitoring programs.
β’ Strong working knowledge of SCADA data, turbine alarms/events, and operational data analysis methods.
β’ Ability to translate intricate technical data into clear, prioritized, and actionable monitoring strategies.
β’ Experience collaborating with data/analytics teams, engineering teams, and field/service organizations.
β’ Strong technical communication skills suitable for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Capability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
β’ Direct experience with wind turbine electrical systems and turbine controls/operability.
β’ Experience in building or scaling a fleet monitoring function or team from its inception.
β’ Familiarity with analytics development lifecycles, including requirements definition, proof-of-concept development, and production validation.
β’ Proficiency in SQL, Python, or MATLAB.
β’ Experience representing technical teams in cross-functional governance or review environments.
β’ Experience working in newly established teams or functions and developing processes from the ground up.
β’ Legally authorized to work in the United States.
