Electrical BIM Modeler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain 3D electrical models utilizing BIM software.

• Work in collaboration with contractors, engineers, and members of the construction planning services team.

• Ensure that models are precise and fulfill project specifications.

• Utilize models to detect and resolve conflicts or issues during the design phase.

• Generate electrical installation drawings for job sites.

• Leverage BIM/VDC expertise to size, assess, select, and specify raceway and wire routing for electrical power, lighting, and auxiliary systems.

• Employ Southwire technology tools alongside industry-standard BIM/VDC tools.

• Create wire-routing layouts and wire BOMs to facilitate efficient installation of building wire.

• Prepare and modify plans, diagrams, details, and other documentation throughout the design and construction stages.

• Develop three-dimensional representations of electrical systems.

• Align project specifications with construction documents and the preferences of contractors.

• Execute additional assigned tasks while adhering to company policies and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.

• 2-4 years of experience in Electrical Modeling/Design.

• Proficiency in Autodesk collaboration tools, including Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).

• Extensive knowledge and experience with Revit, AutoCAD, NAVIS Works, and Bluebeam.

• Skilled in reading, interpreting, and analyzing MEP construction drawings, specifications, and submittals.

• Familiarity with construction codes and standards, including NFPA 70 National Electrical Code.

• Ability to work autonomously, manage workload effectively, and meet project deadlines with minimal oversight.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and deadlines.

• Competencies in 3D Modeling, Electrical Wiring, Microsoft 365, Quality Assurance, and Workflow Management.
