Electrical BIM Modeler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Assist in the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) process by providing precise digital representations of electrical systems.

• Maintain regular communication with VDC Coordinators to ensure effective coordination, clash-free modeling, and successful prefabrication and field execution.

• Utilize plans provided by Project Layout Designers to create digital models that adhere to Miller Electric standards.

• Employ basic modeling tools in Revit.

• Establish and manage Revit View Ranges, View Templates, Section Views, and 3D Views.

• Model conduits, including bends, offsets, spacing, and routing to junction boxes, panels, and stub-ups.

• Incorporate conduit labels and parameters such as Conduit ID, To/From, and Panel Name.

• Model hangers, racks, support systems, and cable trays.

• Position and coordinate lighting fixtures and electrical equipment based on RCPs, submittals, and clearance requirements.

• Populate and maintain Revit schedules and export them to CSV for use in prefabrication and field operations.

• Create 2D/3D ISO and fabrication shop drawings.

• Conduct clash detection using Navisworks Manage or BIM 360 Model Coordination; resolve conflicts and document any necessary adjustments.

• Participate in virtual construction coordination meetings.

• Maintain project documentation and trackers.

• Review work for precision and compliance with Miller Electric standards.

• Provide support to prefab and construction teams with accurate, up-to-date model data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be located in the US Eastern Time Zone.

• A minimum of two years of electrical experience in Revit and Navisworks is required.

• Prior exposure to electrical construction or drafting (either field or academic experience) is preferred.

• Familiarity with electrical components, systems, and NEC code is preferred.

• Experience in the construction trade is advantageous.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 is required.

• Experience with COINS is preferred.
