Electrical BIM Modeler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Assist in the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) process by providing precise digital representations of electrical systems.

• Collaborate closely with VDC Coordinators to guarantee effective coordination, clash-free modeling, and successful prefabrication and on-site execution.

• Develop digital models based on Project Layout Designer plans in accordance with Miller Electric standards.

• Utilize basic modeling tools in Revit.

• Model conduits, cable trays, hangers, racks, supports, lighting fixtures, and electrical equipment.

• Manage view ranges, view templates, section views, and 3D views within Revit.

• Add conduit labels and parameters such as Conduit ID, To/From, and Panel Name.

• Populate and maintain Revit schedules and export data to CSV for prefabrication and field use.

• Generate 2D/3D ISO and fabrication shop drawings.

• Conduct clash detection using Navisworks Manage or BIM 360 Model Coordination and resolve spatial conflicts.

• Engage in virtual construction coordination meetings.

• Maintain project documentation and trackers.

• Review work for precision and adherence to Miller Electric standards.

• Assist prefab and construction teams by providing accurate, up-to-date model data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Applicants must be located in the US Eastern Time Zone.

• A minimum of two years of electrical experience with Revit and Navisworks is required.

• Previous experience in electrical construction or drafting (either field or academic) is preferred.

• Familiarity with electrical components, systems, and NEC code is advantageous.

• Experience in the construction trade is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 is necessary.

• COINS experience is preferred.
