ELA Item Writer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to design test items and performance tasks that assess student learning.

• Locate stimulus materials for testing purposes and secure copyright permissions as necessary.

• Create and evaluate test items utilizing tools for developing interactive items, simulations, and various tasks.

• Engage in collective item reviews.

• Document team feedback on test items during individual meetings and group review sessions.

• Assist with the compilation of field test and operational test forms.

• Contribute to supplementary testing materials for interpretive guides, score reports, and item release websites.

• Support senior staff in managing test item pools and in the development of new assessments, products, and services.

• Aid in the formulation of test specifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in English or a related field is mandatory.

• 2–3 years of pertinent experience is required.

• Proven creativity, analytical abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Capability to identify issues and develop conceptual solutions.

• Proficiency in prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and collaborating effectively with others.

• Willingness to travel as needed for 1 to 6 trips annually, typically lasting 2–3 days at a time, especially during the summer months.
