EIT Engineering Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Manage a team of cloud engineers and subject matter experts to enable, govern, and enhance the multi-cloud environment spanning Azure and GCP.

• Develop cloud strategies to accelerate the adoption of enterprise AI.

• Guarantee secure and scalable implementation of enterprise technology solutions.

• Collaborate with architects, engineering teams, security leaders, and business stakeholders on cloud and AI modernization projects.

• Drive operational excellence initiatives and AI transformation projects, including AI Workflow Engineering.

• Establish best practices and influence technology-related decisions.

• Provide mentorship to engineering talent and facilitate staff development.

• Oversee daily team operations, including system maintenance and development activities.

• Supervise system modifications and assess work progress and accuracy.

• Offer staff management oversight, encompassing hiring, promotions, performance evaluations, assessments, and professional growth.

• Ensure compliance with policies, plans, objectives, budgets, and staffing allocations.

• Monitor team-level project specifics and offer technical subject matter expertise during transitions.

• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation as required.

• Travel to the Chattanooga, TN headquarters for final interviews.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Sciences-related field or equivalent professional experience.

• 5 years of experience with information technology concepts, application development, and/or methodologies related to enterprise system maintenance, terminology, and standards.

• 5 years of experience in systems maintenance and/or programming.

• 3 years of advanced knowledge in at least one programming language and/or one enterprise system utilized at BCBST.

• Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms such as Azure AI Foundry and/or Google Gemini Enterprise.

• Experience in managing direct reports, ideally engineers and/or cloud subject matter experts.

• Expertise in multi-cloud architecture, specifically in Azure and GCP.

• Strong understanding of information technology concepts, methodologies, terminology, and standards.

• Proven ability to develop and/or maintain an enterprise IT system.

• Subject matter expertise in one or more enterprise IT systems.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and email communication.

• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

• Willingness to adjust schedule for maintenance and upgrades outside business hours and participate in an on-call rotation.

• Experience in a regulated industry is a plus.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States, excluding New York, New Jersey, California, and Massachusetts.
