EHS Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Carry out all facets of safety for moderately complex engineering projects.

• Support the management of the company's Health and Safety program under general supervision.

• Cultivate and strengthen client relationships to generate HSE consulting opportunities.

• Provide and/or assist with industrial hygiene and safety consulting services.

• Maintain online databases such as ISNetworld.com, PEC Premier, PICS, and Browz.

• Coordinate client prequalification packages and assess safety performance.

• Oversee the Quarterly Random Drug Screening program.

• Manage the annual Motor Vehicle Report program and the Hargrove Driving Violation tracking program.

• Conduct quarterly Job Hazard Analysis audits and compile reports.

• Perform and supervise monthly inspections of mobile offices.

• Identify and oversee Safety Award Applications.

• Manage the Teammate Training Program focused on safety.

• Oversee the client site orientation program.

• Assist with the Hargrove subcontractor qualification process.

• Maintain H2S monitors, including calibration and replacement of calibration gas cylinders.

• Help schedule site visits and conduct them alongside the Corporate Safety Leader.

• Organize monthly and quarterly Safety Meetings.

• Document and disseminate SLT meeting notes and lead SLT meetings as necessary.

• Assist in the development of proposals.

• Manage travel arrangements for the safety team.

• Register and prepare materials for conferences and seminars.

• Develop and/or assist in creating training presentations and safety discussions on loss prevention topics.

• Deliver safety training to Hargrove teammates.

• Adhere to department standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Public Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• 5 to 10 years of pertinent experience in industrial safety, risk management, and/or industrial hygiene.

• No certifications are necessary for this role.

• Familiarity with OSHA regulations is essential.

• Understanding of Industrial Hygiene and Safety principles and practices is required.

• Exceptional attention to detail is crucial.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects efficiently and effectively.

• Ability to work on an HSE project as instructed, conduct necessary activities, maintain required documentation, and create meaningful reports on activities.

• Ability to collaborate within a small team to fulfill commitments.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is necessary.

• Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.

• Capacity to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.

• The chosen candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
