This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

• Providing counseling to children, adolescents, and young adults via chat

• Offering support on issues such as anxiety, loneliness, depressive symptoms, and challenges in school and family

• Conducting chat sessions that last for 2.5 hours each

• Scheduling chat sessions at a time of your own choosing

• Collaborating with other crisis counselors and points of contact during chat sessions

• Engaging with team members when necessary

• Contributing to a 24/7 available psychosocial first aid service

• Completed Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a Bachelor's student with additional qualifications or extensive counseling experience

• Alternatively: Psychotherapist in training or with completed training in a method recognized by psychotherapy guidelines

• Physician with additional qualification in psychotherapy

• Teacher or educator with supplementary psychosocial counseling experience

• Social worker or social educator with state recognition

• Similar backgrounds with intensive psychosocial counseling experience may also be considered upon individual review

• Minimum of 5 hours of volunteer work per month

• A PC is required; counseling is exclusively digital with additional digital tools

• Basic computer skills are necessary

• Counseling via mobile devices such as tablets or phones is generally not permitted

• Proficiency in written German at a C2 level

• Personal introduction in a video call is required

• An extended police clearance certificate is mandatory
