This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Establish national strategies for patient access and reimbursement.
β’ Direct large field teams and eliminate access obstacles for specialty pharmaceutical products.
β’ Develop foundational capabilities and ensure readiness for the upcoming Retina launch.
β’ Collaborate with Market Access, Corporate Accounts, Trade & Distribution, Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations / Analytics, Training, Finance, Legal / Compliance, and Human Resources.
β’ Design and implement long-term strategies for provider reimbursement, patient access, adherence, and hub programs.
β’ Evaluate the Retina landscape to uncover opportunities for innovative provider and patient solutions.
β’ Lead and expand the Field Reimbursement Directors and Managers, Patient Services Hub Operations, and case managers.
β’ Create a market entry strategy for the Field Reimbursement Manager team.
β’ Supervise reimbursement marketing, tools, and support systems.
β’ Coordinate efforts between Corporate Account and Field Reimbursement teams to implement reimbursement solutions and resolve issues.
β’ Manage both internal and third-party patient services operations, optimizing data analytics and service delivery.
β’ Stay informed on federal, state, and commercial payer policies, billing codes, and buy-and-bill dynamics.
β’ Collaborate with brand leadership on prioritizing accounts for the Field Reimbursement Manager.
β’ Manage local partnerships with sales, corporate accounts, and medical affairs.
β’ Set and track KPIs that connect team performance to patient outcomes.
β’ Implement cutting-edge technology solutions, including exploring potential AI opportunities.
β’ Ensure adherence to healthcare laws, regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
β’ Lead financial planning and budget oversight for reimbursement, patient support programs, and vendors.
β’ Bachelor's degree.
β’ A minimum of 15+ years of experience in patient services, market access, reimbursement, or related pharmaceutical/biotech functions.
β’ At least 10+ years in a management or leadership position.
β’ In-depth knowledge of government and commercial payers for specialty products, including buy & bill and specialty pharmacy pathways, prior authorization and appeal requirements, coding, appropriate claim submission, and integration with patient assistance programs.
β’ Experience in developing strategic patient access and field reimbursement capabilities.
β’ Proven history of scaling capabilities for growth.
β’ Strong cross-functional leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
β’ Self-motivated and proactive attitude.
β’ Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
