Editorial Event Producer

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with Semafor’s Executive Editor and the live journalism team to execute the flagship global economic event.

• Engage with potential guests and create insightful programming recommendations.

• Manage multiple relationships with executives.

• Take charge of outreach and bookings for senior executives, government leaders, and other notable prospective guests.

• Identify contacts and initiate outreach through executive offices, communications teams, and various other channels.

• Oversee outreach pipelines, leading follow-ups and updates to secure commitments.

• Represent Semafor and communicate the event’s editorial mission, target audience, and value proposition effectively.

• Lead pre-event editorial discussions with executive teams and prepare comprehensive notes for moderators.

• Conduct research on executives, companies, industries, and areas of expertise.

• Evaluate prospective guests and provide strategic programming suggestions.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.

• 7+ years of experience in broadcast journalism, executive communications, event content or programming development, or similar fields.

• Proven track record of managing intricate editorial programs with numerous speakers and sessions.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to engage confidently with senior-level executives.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create engaging invitations and executive briefs.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, skilled at balancing multiple relationship streams.

• Awareness of major business and economic trends, with the capability to translate them into impactful mainstage moments and other gatherings for executives.

• Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to learn and develop alongside a growing company.

• A passion for the media industry and quality journalism.

• Availability to work flexible hours.
