This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Co-lead the editorial team dedicated to supporting the International Journal of Language and Communication Disorders (Paediatric).
• Spearhead the strategic and editorial growth of the journal.
• Enhance the visibility and dissemination of top-tier research in communication and swallowing disorders.
• Evaluate the strengths and areas needing improvement for the IJLCD.
• Articulate a vision for the IJLCD along with its short- and long-term developmental goals.
• Oversee the peer review process and contribute to the field of academic publishing.
• Provide leadership and guidance in strategic development.
• Agree to a minimum commitment of three years.
• PhD in a relevant academic field.
• Extensive knowledge, skills, and significant experience in research.
• Substantial experience in peer review processes and academic publishing, preferably at the Associate Editor level.
• Familiarity with key challenges and opportunities in academic publishing, including Open Science and the effects of AI.
• Proven leadership skills and experience in strategic development.
• Commitment to fulfilling the role for a minimum period of three years.
• Senior clinical and research experience as a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) is advantageous.
• Membership in the RCSLT is preferred.
• Submission of a covering letter, curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and a brief statement outlining the vision for the journal's assessment and development.

• Annual remuneration of £3,500.
• Annual increase of 2%.
