This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Conduct independent economic and data analyses, producing accurate, comprehensive, and high-quality results that align with established methodologies.
β’ Take the lead in crafting clear and impactful reports utilizing various tools, including data visualizations.
β’ Assist in the development and customization of macroeconomic forecast models.
β’ Engage in research projects of different complexities using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
β’ Sift through substantial amounts of research and remain informed on issues pertinent to assigned responsibilities.
β’ Play a role in large-scale research projects alongside a team of economists and social science researchers.
β’ Prepare materials for meetings and actively participate in methodological and planning discussions for client engagements.
β’ Manage competing priorities and adhere to deadlines.
β’ Exhibit professional values in all work and interactions with colleagues and clients.
β’ Contribute to the formulation of research project proposals aimed at both internal and external audiences.
β’ A minimum of two years of professional experience in a related capacity as an economist or analyst.
β’ A Master's degree in economics, economic policy, data science, or a similar field of study.
β’ Familiarity with statistics, econometric modeling, regression analysis, forecasting techniques, and statistical software packages.
β’ Experience utilizing R, Python, and/or EViews.
β’ Excellent research abilities and adeptness at synthesizing complex concepts and information from diverse sources.
β’ High-level communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
β’ Strong interpersonal and communication skills when engaging with internal and external contacts and clients.
β’ Capability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
β’ Proficiency in a Microsoft Office environment.
β’ A productive, professional, and safe home office setup during regular working/business hours.
β’ A reliable internet connection.
β’ Proficiency in French is considered an asset.
