This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offer expert consultation to attorneys and legal teams on economic and financial matters
• Examine financial documents, tax returns, payroll records, business papers, and additional case materials
• Assess and quantify economic damages utilizing established economic principles and methodologies
• Compute lost earnings, lost profits, reduced earning capacity, business interruption losses, and anticipated economic damages
• Create economic models and present value analyses to substantiate damage assessments
• Draft comprehensive written expert reports, rebuttal documents, and case summaries
• Deliver expert witness testimony during depositions and court trials
• Simplify intricate economic concepts into clear and defendable opinions
• Work collaboratively with ESI experts, internal case management, and operations teams throughout the duration of cases
• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, Business Economics, or a closely related field
• Over 15 years of professional experience in economics, forensic economics, economic consulting, valuation, or financial damages analysis
• Previous expert witness experience is preferred
• Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and report-writing abilities
• Comfortable engaging in depositions and providing testimony
• Capability to convey complex economic principles effectively to attorneys, judges, and juries
• Strong professionalism, objectivity, and meticulous attention to detail
• Experience in forensic economics, business valuation, econometrics, or financial modeling is highly desirable
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, CVA, ASA, or ABV are advantageous
