eCommerce Lead Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Take the lead in designing, developing, and implementing solutions using Optimizely Commerce.

• Act as the technical expert for decisions pertaining to the architecture of Optimizely Commerce.

• Set and uphold standards for development, integration, and deployment practices.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level developers.

• Conduct code reviews while promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with team members and product owners during feature definition, solution design, delivery, testing, and support.

• Create and develop integrations between Optimizely Commerce and various systems such as ERP, CRM, PIM, payment gateways, and both internal and external APIs.

• Generate technical documentation, including solution designs, integration specifications, and support procedures.

• Lead initiatives focused on performance tuning, scalability enhancements, and automation efforts.

• Assess and suggest emerging technologies, tools, and platform capabilities.

• Work together with cross-functional IT and business teams to relay solutions, status updates, risks, and outcomes.

• Deliver solutions within the framework of Agile/Scrum sprint cycles.

• Assist with new builds, platform enhancements, and the ongoing maintenance of both on-premises and hybrid implementations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

• A BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.

• A minimum of 7 years of overall software development experience is required.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with an enterprise eCommerce platform; proficiency in Optimizely Commerce is strongly preferred.

• Proven experience in leading technical design and architecture for eCommerce solutions.

• Familiarity with the implementation, customization, and ongoing maintenance of Optimizely Commerce.

• Knowledge of catalog management, order management, pricing, promotions, and customer/account models.

• Proficiency in .NET / C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL Server.

• Full-stack development experience, including front-end storefront layers and back-end API development.

• Experience integrating ERP, CRM, and PIM systems.

• Familiarity with payment gateway integration.

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and Web Services (REST, SOAP, WCF).

• Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

• Experience with Azure DevOps, including source control, CI/CD pipelines, and work tracking.

• Experience in both on-premises and cloud deployment.

• Optimizely Commerce Developer Certification or a willingness to obtain it post-hire.

• Experience with headless or composable commerce architectures.

• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React, Redux, TypeScript, and Node.

• Familiarity with PIM platforms and product data syndication.
