eCommerce Implementation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of comprehensive eCommerce website development from project initiation to launch.

• Convert client specifications and brand vision into fully functional online storefronts.

• Design and create responsive storefronts for both desktop and mobile platforms utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Set up and verify product catalogs, search functionalities, cart and checkout processes, customer journeys, custom domains, analytics, SEO, and third-party integrations.

• Address platform build and functionality challenges using available documentation, tools, and internal resources.

• Recognize tasks needing developer or subject matter expert involvement and escalate them with clear context.

• Analyze requirements to identify any gaps, risks, and dependencies prior to development.

• Oversee build timelines and workloads, ensuring visibility of status, progress, risks, and obstacles.

• Conduct quality assurance and support formal testing before client review and project launch.

• Act as the technical liaison during client discussions, demonstrating websites and clarifying functionalities.

• Document processes and ensure a seamless transition to post-launch support teams.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in building, configuring, or implementing eCommerce websites or web applications.

• Practical experience in UI/UX design, front-end development, and setting up online stores or websites on enterprise, SaaS, or custom eCommerce platforms.

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including the ability to read, write, and troubleshoot front-end code.

• Strong design sensibility with the capability to translate brand direction into clean, responsive, and on-brand storefronts across various devices.

• Capability to independently manage projects from inception to completion, maintain organization, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

• Resourceful problem-solving abilities and sound judgment regarding when to resolve issues independently or escalate them.

• Familiarity with SSO, punchout and procurement integrations, APIs, and data feeds is advantageous.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage clients and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the capacity to manage multiple builds and deadlines accurately.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.

• Capacity to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and work overtime or outside regular hours when necessary.

• A bachelor's degree in information technology, communications, business, or a related field is required.

• Participation in HALO's E-Verify employment verification process is required.
