Early Childhood Coach

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Deliver culturally aware and relationship-focused professional development (RBPD) and coaching to early care and education environments, including child care centers and family child care providers across Minnesota.

• Promote and facilitate collaboration among families, providers, community programs, and organizations.

• Offer coaching through modeling, establishing goals, reflection, and resource sharing, emphasizing inclusion, health and safety, and best practices for infants and toddlers.

• Collaborate with early childhood educators to jointly create and execute action plans that address ongoing objectives.

• Support those being coached in organizing environments, routines, and interactions that foster positive social-emotional outcomes for children and families.

• Link programs, families, and individuals to CICC resources and/or community partners for additional support.

• Travel is generally within one or two hours of the home base, requiring up to 50% travel and occasional overnight stays.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in providing direct services in early childhood education.

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, or a related discipline.

• Must have and maintain a valid Minnesota state driver’s license and vehicle insurance.

• Successful completion of pre-employment screening is required.

• At least 3 years of experience in providing mentoring, coaching, consultation, or technical assistance.

• Familiarity with Minnesota child care licensing and programmatic standards within the early care and education system in Minnesota.

• Must be physically capable of independently operating a vehicle and traveling throughout the region, and statewide as necessary.

• Proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

• Availability for part-time work, totaling 25 hours per week.

• Day shift schedule, Monday to Friday.
