E-commerce QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive manual QA testing for live, customer-facing e-commerce storefronts, with a specific emphasis on U.S. shopping experiences.

• Evaluate complete customer journeys, including the homepage, navigation, search, collections, product detail pages, cart, checkout, and other essential shopping flows.

• Test storefronts on desktop, mobile web, Android, iOS, and across major web browsers.

• Execute various testing types such as functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, usability, end-to-end, responsive, cross-browser, and cross-device testing.

• Detect subtle functional issues, edge cases, visual discrepancies, broken interactions, and UX challenges.

• Approach website testing from a genuine customer perspective to pinpoint friction points or unexpected behaviors.

• Examine issues across different browsers, devices, screen sizes, user journeys, and scenarios.

• Identify issues that impact product discovery, navigation, customer experience, checkout, conversion rates, or storefront reliability.

• Collect evidence such as screenshots and screen recordings, providing context for issue reproduction.

• Create concise, well-structured QA reports detailing the issue, its impact on customers, reproduction steps, and the differences between expected and actual behavior.

• Recognize patterns and recurring issues across various storefronts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in performing manual QA testing on live, customer-facing e-commerce websites.

• Prior experience testing e-commerce, retail, or direct-to-consumer storefronts, preferably for consumer brands.

• Familiarity with testing a U.S. e-commerce storefront or engaging with U.S.-focused online retail experiences.

• Strong background in testing customer journeys that include browsing, searching, product pages, cart, checkout, and other purchasing-related processes.

• Proficient in testing across desktop, mobile web, Android, iOS, and various browsers.

• Possess a robust exploratory testing mindset, capable of testing beyond standard paths and predefined test cases.

• Able to independently investigate, replicate, document, and communicate issues with minimal supervision.

• Excellent written and spoken English skills, with the capability to generate clear and professional QA reports.

• Available for full-time work during U.S. business hours, roughly 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. ET.
