Dynamics 365 Presales Solution Architect – Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Create customized proposals and presentations for Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O solutions tailored to public sector organizations.

• Collaborate with sales teams to comprehend project scope, client needs, procurement factors, and business goals.

• Identify potential opportunities and present solutions that meet client requirements.

• Lead discovery sessions, product demonstrations, workshops, proof-of-concepts, and supplementary materials.

• Implement best practices, technical innovations, and optimization strategies to enhance Microsoft-based capabilities for the public sector.

• Engage stakeholders throughout the architectural and solution scoping phases, extending to technology strategy.

• Design practical solution architectures that account for regulatory, procurement, budgetary, legacy technology, organizational, geographic, financial, security, and technological considerations.

• Work in tandem with delivery and implementation teams to ensure smooth transitions of solutions from presales to project execution.

• Remain informed about trends in the Microsoft ecosystem, technological advancements, competitive landscape, and digital transformation in the public sector.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to public sector clients.

• Simplify complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Develop solution proposals, architectural diagrams, presentations, and other presales documentation.

• Evaluate current processes, legacy environments, business needs, and modernization objectives.

• Assess technology feasibility and recommend solutions that align with architectural requirements and organizational priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent education and professional experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in selling, consulting, implementing, or architecting Microsoft Dynamics Business Applications or related enterprise technology solutions.

• Prior experience supporting public sector organizations is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with state or local government, education, public agencies, or other government/public sector organizations.

• At least one Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O implementation documented in the capacity of Solution Architect.

• Strong grasp of public sector business and operational environments.

• Valuable experience with financial management, budgeting, procurement, grants, project accounting, asset management, or other government business processes.

• Expert-level knowledge in at least one core area of Microsoft solutions.

• Comprehensive understanding of the Microsoft technology platform.

• Exceptional presentation, storytelling, discovery, and demonstration skills.

• Proven ability to link technical capabilities with client challenges and desired outcomes.

• Experience in customer-facing consulting or presales roles engaging IT leaders, business and program owners, executive stakeholders, and end users.

• Previous experience in consulting, business analysis, implementation, solution architecture, or product support related to Microsoft Business Applications.

• Capability to navigate complex organizations with multiple stakeholders, varying priorities, approval processes, and technology environments.

• Willingness to travel 30% or more.
