DVLED Project Engineer, I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Project Managers and System Integration Partners to ensure timely and efficient execution of installations.

• Deliver installation and product operation training for system integrators, technicians, and LG staff.

• Act as LG’s main technical representative on-site, facilitating communication between customers, sales teams, vendors, and integration partners.

• Diagnose and resolve installation, configuration, and system integration challenges alongside Technical Engineering teams.

• Assess installation environments, site conditions, infrastructure, safety requirements, and project readiness.

• Confirm inventory, bills of materials, shipping documentation, and equipment prior to installation.

• Keep thorough documentation, daily status reports, technical findings, and project updates throughout the installation process.

• Provide technical insights for the enhancement of next-generation DVLED products and advocate for customer needs to Product Management.

• Assist in product demonstrations, trade shows, customer events, and LG Brand Innovation Centers with technical expertise and product setup.

• Offer remote technical support and guidance to customers and partners when on-site assistance is not necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical School certification in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) or equivalent technical education.

• 2–4 years of practical experience in DirectView LED installation.

• Familiarity with DVLED technology, mounting systems, LED module handling, and installation best practices.

• Knowledge of NovaStar and Megapixel LED display control systems, including controller configuration, commissioning, image mapping, and basic troubleshooting.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and design tools (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Visio).

• Strong skills in reading and interpreting A/V, electrical, and mechanical drawings.

• Understanding of IT, networking, and A/V system integration.

• Excellent communication, time management, and decision-making skills.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Experienced in documenting and escalating technical issues.

• Capability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment safely.

• Comfort working in high-pressure, fast-paced settings—either independently or as part of a team.

• Strong skills in conflict resolution and de-escalation.

• Knowledge of site safety procedures, safe tool usage, and ladder safety.

• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools while adhering to established job site safety protocols.

• Valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively (75%).

• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification is required; OSHA 30-Hour certification is highly preferred.
