Driver Manager – Dedicated

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and coordinate inbound and outbound operations for a designated group of non-union, long-haul drivers.

• Ensure safe and timely deliveries.

• Develop and nurture relationships as mentors and advocates for drivers across the company's various fleets, including dedicated, contract, graduate, regional, and Canadian operations.

• Enhance driver engagement while promoting career advancement and personal development.

• Evaluate daily pickup and delivery schedules to confirm adequate Hours of Service (HOS) for timely trips.

• Ensure drivers comprehend customer and company requirements when freight assignments are issued.

• Schedule drivers for planned home time and assist in securing equipment at authorized locations.

• Inspire drivers to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as utilization, service, safety, retention, and optimization.

• Advise drivers who breach safety protocols or DOT compliance and facilitate retraining.

• Relay service interruptions to internal teams to uphold delivery schedules.

• Offer leadership, guidance, and support to assigned drivers.

• Supply real-time data to record systems for load assignments, planning, tracking, and tracing.

• Cultivate a positive and collaborative workplace culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient computer skills in a Windows environment, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Highly organized with the capability to interact effectively at all organizational levels, both internally and externally.

• Proven ability to make sound decisions in both routine and emergency scenarios.

• Capacity to manage a high volume of inbound emails, phone calls, and satellite communications.

• Ability to thrive in an environment with shifting priorities and competing deadlines.

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills; proactive; capable of working independently and collaboratively.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with time/distance geography preferred.

• Experience in transportation/logistics preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and best practices in the transportation industry preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in a professional work environment.

• 1+ years of experience in Transportation/Supply Chain preferred.
