This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop and modify engineering drawings and diagrams under direct supervision based on engineer and designer inputs.
• Create 2D and 3D general arrangements, sections, elevations, bills of materials, schedules, layouts, diagrams, schematics, wiring drawings, and distribution drawings.
• Integrate design markups and revisions into drawing packages utilizing AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, Civil 3D, and other approved CAD software.
• Manage drawing files, project documentation, and document management systems.
• Retrieve, input, and update design data in drawings and project databases.
• Conduct basic quality checks to ensure drawing accuracy, completeness, and compliance with drafting standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project team members to ensure timely and accurate document delivery.
• Engage in design reviews, team meetings, and initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and drafting standards.
• Complete assigned project tasks within set schedules and budgets.
• Diploma in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Technology, Drafting Technology, Engineering Design & Drafting Technology, or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution.
• 0–2 years of drafting experience, ideally supporting utility, industrial, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, drafting principles, and document control procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to delivering precise, high-quality outputs.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated eagerness to learn new technologies, processes, and industry standards.
• Knowledge of Revit, Civil 3D, Inventor, Raster Design, AutoTURN, or other engineering design software is considered an advantage.
