This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Produce approximately one high-quality YouTube script each month for long-form video content.

• Create compelling narratives centered around documentary topics, historical events, real-life stories, and notable occurrences.

• Perform comprehensive research utilizing trustworthy sources to guarantee scripts are accurate, well-researched, and factually sound.

• Simplify intricate subjects and research into engaging, entertaining, and accessible storytelling.

• Organize scripts with effective hooks, pacing, narrative flow, and satisfying conclusions.

• Work collaboratively with producers, researchers, and other creative team members to brainstorm and formulate video concepts.

• Integrate feedback and revise scripts to align with creative vision, audience expectations, and channel objectives.

• Keep informed about YouTube storytelling formats, trends, audience behaviors, and content strategies.

• Ensure that written content adheres to copyright, sourcing, and brand guidelines.

• Demonstrated experience in writing scripts for YouTube or other long-form video platforms.

• Background in writing for documentaries, factual programming, historical content, or other research-intensive formats.

• Exceptional storytelling and writing abilities, with a solid grasp of narrative structure and pacing.

• Strong research skills, including the ability to locate, assess, cross-reference, and synthesize information from various reliable sources.

• Capability to transform complex topics, historical events, and information-dense subjects into engaging and easily comprehensible narratives.

• In-depth understanding of YouTube audiences, retention strategies, hooks, pacing, and storytelling conventions.

• Excellent command of written English.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to consistently produce high-quality scripts on time.
