This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Receive and clarify client work requests, ensuring job instructions are understood and deadlines are negotiated.
• Explore alternative solutions to deadline requests when necessary.
• Prioritize workload across the team while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Act as a key resource for document production, proofreading, and quality assurance inquiries.
• Identify and rectify errors in intricate business documents.
• Detect formatting and compositional mistakes, while verifying citation formatting.
• Compare corrected proofs against markup for quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance with formatting standards and proofreading protocols.
• Demonstrate professional expectations for client interactions, deadlines, and quality standards.
• Design and implement ongoing training programs for both new and existing team members.
• Coordinate efforts across shifts to uphold client quality, timeliness, and service expectations.
• Provide training to junior staff as required.
• Communicate any job or deadline concerns to managers and/or clients.
• Assist the Lead, Supervisor, or Manager with administrative processes and systems.
• Promote team adherence to company policies.
• Engage in collaboration within and across teams.
• Suggest individual development goals, training opportunities, and performance expectations.
• Interact with clients face-to-face, via phone, or electronically.
• Comply with Williams Lea and client site policies.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience that can be substituted.
• At least 3 years of previous office experience, including proofreading, word processing, or document production.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to troubleshoot relevant software specific to the business/client.
• Desired certification in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Advanced understanding of document production and/or proofreading processes and best practices.
• Extensive experience with business terminology, document production, and/or proofreading formats.
• Skilled and efficient in utilizing reference resources.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Capable of coordinating team efforts and managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment.
• Sound judgment and organizational abilities with effective decision-making skills.
• Solutions-oriented mindset with the capacity to ask for and follow instructions.
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Communicate effectively with team members, Lead, Supervisor, Manager, and/or Clients regarding job or deadline issues.
• Meet deadlines and complete projects in a timely manner.
• Manage sensitive and/or confidential documents and information appropriately.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and know how to escalate issues as needed.
• Effectively interact with a diverse workforce and multifunctional backgrounds.
