This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate with sales teams to achieve and surpass sales targets through strategic technical account plans.
• Position, showcase, and design security architectures utilizing the Palo Alto Networks portfolio.
• Architect intricate environments that encompass network security, security operations, and cloud security.
• Propel customer adoption of the Palo Alto Networks security platform.
• Conduct technical assessments and align solutions to meet customer needs.
• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives, technical workshops, and product showcases.
• Work alongside Professional Services, Customer Success, Specialist, Customer Support, and Channel Partner teams.
• Articulate complex security concepts to both technical practitioners and executive leadership.
• Advocate for comprehensive security solutions and partner professional services.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging security threats.
• Enhance technical expertise and contribute to the District Systems Engineer community and industry events.
• Facilitate cross-training across SOC, Cloud, Networking, and NetSec.
• Progress towards portfolio architect and CTO/CIO/CISO-level leadership roles.
• Design and architect large, complex systems.
• Establish and nurture customer relationships through effective consulting skills.
• Act as a role model and mentor for junior Systems Engineers.
• Travel up to 50% within the designated district and support face-to-face customer meetings.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in pre-sales/sales engineering or completion of the SC Academy.
• Familiarity with data networking, security architectures, and contemporary cloud computing environments.
• Experience in delivering cybersecurity solutions that address technical challenges and drive new business initiatives is preferred.
• Capability to influence and secure buy-in from key stakeholders.
• Proficiency in creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or technical validation engagements.
• Experience in selling, designing, implementing, or managing Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP, and/or SOC Transformation Technologies.
• Background in collaborating with Customer Support teams for solution implementation and adoption.
• Experience in complex sales involving lengthy sales cycles, multiple buying centers, and multi-product solutions is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned district.
• Proficient in English.
