District Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team of Clinical Sales Specialists to implement tactical plans aimed at driving allergy growth within the designated district.

• Recruit, hire, mentor, lead, train, and nurture sales personnel.

• Formulate district strategies and tactics to enhance the use of allergy testing.

• Coordinate and effectively utilize available resources to pinpoint growth opportunities and maximize lab utilization.

• Spearhead territory growth initiatives following commitments from national and regional reference laboratories and health systems.

• Build and foster advocacy to stimulate sales and market expansion.

• Offer business insights and value to maintain customer retention and improve customer relationships.

• Present the clinical and economic rationale for increased testing to executive-level institutional stakeholders.

• Engage in company meetings for training, product updates, and sharing field intelligence.

• Provide training, direction, and support to facilitate sales team growth and development.

• Assist customers across Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and portions of Southern Georgia, requiring significant regional travel.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree is required; a degree in Business or a Healthcare-related field is preferred.

• A minimum of 7 years of sales experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical diagnostics, medical device sales, and/or sales management; OR a documented career trajectory within the industry that includes management development.

• At least 3 years of proven leadership experience.

• Ability to operate effectively within complex, matrixed organizations.

• Established leadership skills aimed at fostering successful work environments.

• Capability to cultivate a high-performing commercial team with a focus on individualized development plans.

• Proficiency in attracting, developing, and retaining top-tier sales professionals.

• Strong critical thinking, strategic business planning, and execution abilities.

• Excellent analytical skills coupled with a continuous improvement mindset.

• Experience in overseeing and being accountable for sales team performance results.

• Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and other designated IT tools.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Understanding of customer activities and objectives for strategic selling presentations.

• Current knowledge of consumable and instrument technologies, products, services, markets, and customer purchasing behaviors.

• Willingness to travel extensively (60–80%) throughout the district.

• Residency within the local territory is required.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check, including a drug screening.
