This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Enhance and expand Industrial Scientific's presence in the Australian market for gas detection products, solutions, and services.
• Oversee all facets of the sales cycle at both end-user and distributor levels.
• Convey and promote corporate initiatives to end users and distributors.
• Identify, manage, and assess current and potential distribution channels.
• Market gas detection solutions through distribution networks and directly to Australian clients.
• Create new sales opportunities and foster business growth.
• Position Industrial Scientific's products, services, solutions, and iNet as a service offering.
• Generate fresh sales leads through iNet and traditional sales methods.
• Seek new business, prepare and deliver proposals, while nurturing existing relationships.
• Identify potential contacts through research, outbound calls, referrals, events, exhibitions, and sales campaigns.
• Achieve sales targets and cultivate the customer base necessary to meet forecasts and budgets.
• Train distributor partners effectively.
• Optimize profit margins while maintaining thorough product and vendor knowledge.
• Document planned and executed activities meticulously.
• Maintain Salesforce CRM with accurate sales funnel data.
• Participate in sales meetings equipped with updated reports.
• Provide sales and technical support to customers.
• Ensure exceptional levels of customer satisfaction.
• Travel primarily across Western Australia and potentially other regions of Australia.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of sales experience with Australian-based industrial customers, including sectors such as Oil and Gas, Mining, Chemicals, and Utilities.
• Experience in working with and supporting distribution sales channels.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven experience in establishing relationships via phone and email.
• Goal-oriented, highly ethical, acts with integrity, and driven by results.
• Demonstrated motivation and creativity in engaging prospects and initiating conversations.
• Strong organizational skills and a self-starting attitude focused on results.
• A proven history of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
• A demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time across Australia as dictated by business and customer needs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools/programs: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote.
• Fluent in English with native proficiency in speaking and writing.
• Authorized to live and work in Australia.
• Experience in gas detection or industrial safety is a plus.
• Sales management experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with selling software and services, such as maintenance programs and rental contracts/agreements, is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Salesforce.com is an advantage.
