This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +1 more state.
• Develop and execute sales strategies and plans aimed at surpassing sales targets within the Factory Automation sector.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market trends to stimulate revenue growth.
• Construct and maintain a sales pipeline concentrating on customer acquisition, opportunity generation, and closure.
• Conduct market research and perform competitive analyses.
• Collaborate with channel partners to enhance sales and market share while holding them accountable to targets and joint business development initiatives.
• Preserve relationships with existing key customers in the Factory Automation field.
• Comprehend customer requirements, deliver technical expertise, and propose aligned solutions.
• Resolve customer concerns and issues to guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Prepare sales reports detailing sales activities, customer feedback, and market trend evaluations.
• Provide sales forecasts and engage in the annual budgeting process.
• Remain updated on trends in the Motion Control industry, market developments, and emerging technologies.
• Acquire product knowledge regarding Emerson’s FLMC portfolio catering to the Packaging and Discrete Manufacturing industries.
• Conduct product presentations and demonstrations for clientele.
• Bachelor’s Degree or comparable industrial sales experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant sales experience.
• Technical proficiency with the capability to comprehend technical issues and troubleshoot challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines.
• Willingness and ability to travel 25%–35% with overnight and extended travel days within the assigned territory.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred: Experience in automation sales.
• Preferred: Technical aptitude in mechanical, electrical, process control, fluid power, or fluid control.
