This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Act as a primary contact for designated distributors and major retailers.
• Assist in the formulation of annual business strategies under the guidance of the Zone Manager.
• Propel the achievement of DGY's annual and zone-specific business goals.
• Execute sanctioned business strategies and initiatives within the designated territory.
• Convey and implement wholesale and retail programs to meet sales, distribution, promotional, and merchandising goals.
• Maintain consistent communication with wholesalers, retailers, and retail field sales managers.
• Create local market strategies and support distributor management and sales teams.
• Oversee retail execution plans and initiate activities for the assigned regions.
• Monitor product inventory levels and ensure proper inventory rotation.
• Conduct quarterly reviews focusing on distribution, sales volume, pricing, execution opportunities, competitive dynamics, retailer trends, and co-op spending.
• Formulate and implement corrective action plans as necessary.
• Supervise retail execution and enhance performance for DGY brands.
• Identify underperforming packages and devise programs for their enhancement.
• Establish distribution targets, key account target lists, and distribution progress reports.
• Strengthen distribution, shelf-set, and merchandising standards.
• Administer local sampling initiatives and engage consumers and retailers at events, trade shows, and retail concentrations.
• Set and oversee wholesaler point-of-sale budgets and distribute point-of-sale materials accordingly.
• Gather and position point-of-sale materials in crucial retail locations.
• Deliver sales presentations and conduct planning sessions with distributor sales teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including National/Chain Account Managers, Marketing, and Brewery Operations.
• Provide written summaries of meetings, retail days, progress tracking, co-op budgets, and market opportunities.
• Diagnose draft beer systems when qualified.
• Manage the distributor bill-back process in compliance with DGY policies.
• Must reside within the range of Roanoke, VA to Lexington, VA area.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Capable of articulating thoughts clearly and convincingly in all scenarios.
• Strong listening skills and engaging presentation abilities for groups.
• Proficient in basic trade mathematics.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work tasks, maintain attention to detail, effectively manage time, and establish goals and objectives.
• Competent in following directions and responding appropriately to managerial guidance.
• Ability to take independent actions and assess risks wisely.
• Creative and original thinker.
• Team-oriented and highly self-motivated.
• Valid driver’s license with an exemplary driving record.
• Willingness to work both traditional and non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• Availability for overnight travel.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, VIP, and mobile industry applications.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 35 pounds.
• Full-time employment.
• Fully remote work setup.
• Overnight travel for crew drives, meetings, training sessions, and occasional weekend events or distributor and retailer entertainment.
