This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Facilitate commercial initiatives within field teams to boost sales in a designated territory
• Develop, execute, communicate, and oversee the District Sales Plan
• Organize in-field efforts to meet objectives and established targets
• Optimize market, segment, and team dynamics to enhance both top-line and bottom-line performance
• Ensure seamless collaborative execution of daily and strategic business operations
• Establish the standard and pace for business processes and organizational structure
• Present market insights and franchise/business viewpoints while leading teams
• Attain expertise in product, disease-state, and managed-care knowledge
• Mentor, coach, educate, and develop both direct and indirect team members
• Hold direct reports accountable for their behaviors and performance expectations
• Offer guidance and insights to internal stakeholders during business planning processes
• Consistently demonstrate AbbVie's Ways of Working
• Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
• A minimum of four years of experience in pharmaceutical sales management; external management experience may be considered
• Proficient in business analysis and planning skills that enhance sales performance
• Must maintain good standing with safety and compliance standards
• Currently must meet performance expectations
• Ability to effectively communicate the scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas
• Excellent judgment and decision-making capabilities
• Proven track record of providing honest, constructive feedback and managing performance effectively
• Capability to nurture talent for promotional opportunities
• Ability to cultivate a winning culture and foster full team engagement
• Must meet all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain them
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and adhere to safe driving standards
• Willingness to reside within a reasonable distance from New York City and cover areas including Manhattan, Bronx, NY, and Paramus, NJ
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
