This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Oversee commercial operations within field teams to enhance sales in a designated area.
• Develop, execute, and share the District Sales Plan while tracking progress.
• Organize field activities to meet objectives and established targets.
• Leverage market, segment, and team dynamics to boost overall results.
• Ensure efficient and collaborative daily and long-term business execution.
• Establish the tone and pace for business processes and organizational structure.
• Provide market and franchise/business insights while leading teams.
• Attain expertise in product, disease-state, and managed-care information.
• Guide, mentor, educate, and nurture both direct and indirect team members.
• Hold direct reports accountable for their behaviors and performance expectations.
• Offer guidance and insights to key internal stakeholders during business planning.
• Exemplify the AbbVie Ways of Working and Leadership Attributes.
• A Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related discipline is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• At least four years of experience in pharmaceutical sales management; external management experience may be considered.
• Strong business analysis and planning skills that enhance sales performance.
• Demonstrated leadership experience as a District Manager.
• Compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Currently meeting performance standards.
• Ability to explain the scientific details of treatments and therapeutic areas.
• Excellent judgment and decision-making capabilities.
• Proficiency in delivering clear, constructive feedback and managing performance effectively.
• Capability to develop talent for advancement opportunities.
• Ability to foster a culture of success and full team engagement.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing criteria.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to acquire necessary credentials.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and comply with safe driving regulations.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time.
