District Manager – Neuroscience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead the formulation and implementation of a customer-focused district strategy along with coordinated business plans that align with organizational priorities and measurable outcomes.

• Directly oversee Sales Specialists, which includes responsibilities for hiring, onboarding, performance management, and execution of compensation plans.

• Provide both field-based and virtual coaching aimed at enhancing selling effectiveness, clinical execution, and territory business planning.

• Spearhead demand generation and care transition initiatives across various settings, including local community hospitals where applicable.

• Maintain a high level of expertise regarding approved clinical information and pertinent guidelines related to the Neuroscience portfolio.

• Analyze district performance, market trends, and execution inputs to pinpoint gaps and opportunities, translating insights into actionable priorities.

• Collaborate with Sales leadership, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to streamline execution and enhance customer experiences.

• Establish performance and behavioral expectations, address shortcomings, and promote accountability, inclusivity, and team efficacy.

• Comply with healthcare regulations and guidelines, reinforcing compliance throughout the team.

• Utilize approved AI-driven tools to optimize planning, opportunity identification, and performance insights while ensuring privacy, data integrity, and policy compliance.

• Manage staffing, team development, local strategic initiatives, resource distribution, customer engagements, budgets, and expenses.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required; MS/MBA/PhD is preferred.

• A valid driver's license issued by one of the fifty United States is necessary.

• At least six (6) years of pertinent professional experience in sales and/or cross-functional commercial roles within the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or healthcare sectors.

• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight and weekend travel.

• Must reside in or be open to relocating to the Southwest region.

• Proven experience in driving cross-functional alignment, overcoming barriers, and mobilizing resources to achieve collective district objectives.

• Demonstrated ability to secure commitment and drive action through guided leadership, establishing clear expectations, and leading teams through change with accountability and empathy.

• Experience in conducting structured coaching with defined development goals, timely feedback, and follow-up that fosters continuous improvement.

• Proven track record of providing ongoing feedback and creating opportunities for learning and development.

• Experience in translating business objectives and data into actionable district plans, priorities, and performance expectations.

• Proficient in utilizing performance data and insights to identify gaps, make informed decisions, and coach others, including the use of approved AI-enabled tools while maintaining privacy, data integrity, and policy compliance.

• Preferred: background in the Neuroscience therapeutic area.

• Preferred: experience in managing large accounts and understanding access and reimbursement dynamics.

• Preferred: prior experience in direct people management.

• Preferred: a commitment to learning about emerging technologies such as AI.

• Preferred: experience in cultivating team AI literacy and confidence.
