This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee commercial initiatives within in-field teams to enhance sales in the designated region.
• Develop, implement, and communicate the District Sales Plan while tracking its progress.
• Organize in-field operations to meet results and established targets.
• Optimize market, segment, and team dynamics to drive both top- and bottom-line outcomes.
• Ensure seamless collaboration in daily operations and long-term business execution.
• Establish the tone and rhythm for business processes and organizational structure.
• Present market and franchise/business insights while leading teams.
• Attain expertise in product, disease state, and managed care knowledge.
• Mentor, coach, educate, and develop both direct and indirect team members.
• Hold direct reports accountable for their behaviors and expectations.
• Offer direction and insights to key internal stakeholders during business planning.
• Demonstrate AbbVie’s Ways of Working and Leadership Attributes.
• Travel around 50% of the time.
• A Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a related business field is preferred, or equivalent industry experience is required.
• At least four years of experience in pharmaceutical sales management; external management experience may be considered.
• Proficient business analysis and planning skills that enhance sales performance.
• Established leadership experience as a District Manager.
• In good standing with safety and compliance regulations.
• Currently fulfilling performance expectations.
• Capability to explain the scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas.
• Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Competence in providing candid, constructive feedback and effectively managing performance.
• Ability to cultivate talent for promotional opportunities.
• Skill in fostering a culture of success and full team engagement.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements, which may include background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific licenses required by state or city.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving standards.
