District Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Supervise the operations of company-managed stores within the designated district

• Recruit, select, mentor, and retain top-performing store managers

• Foster a sales-oriented and customer-focused environment

• Ensure facility presentation is maintained while managing labor and vendor relations

• Analyze management data and financial statements to detect trends and issues regarding store performance

• Keep track of competitors through site visits

• Provide guidance to store managers on repairs, maintenance, and vendor contracts

• Oversee rental pricing, discounts, merchandise, Tenant Protection Plans, truck rentals, and other revenue streams

• Support store managers in executing marketing strategies and adhering to policies/procedures

• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner

• Identify operational achievements and develop plans for improvement

• Manage profit and loss, including revenue sources, payroll, maintenance, and budget expenses

• Conduct regular property audits to guarantee safety and operational compliance

• Handle processes related to delinquent tenants and enhance customer retention

• Cultivate and strengthen client relationships through continuous communication and meetings

• Effectively communicate with employees, peers, and customers

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven leadership skills in building, developing, and retaining high-performing teams of hourly, nonexempt employees

• Strong enthusiasm for sales and excellence in customer service

• Ability to oversee and manage payroll and expenses

• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have reliable transportation

• Outstanding communication, organization, and time management abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Willingness to travel to other markets, the SAM office in PA, and industry trade shows; expected travel is approximately 50% of the time

• Availability for a minimum of 40 hours per week

• Capability to perform necessary physical activities, including walking, standing, sitting, driving, bending/stooping, keyboarding, lifting up to 25 lbs., reaching, climbing, and crouching/stooping

• Bachelor’s Degree and prior experience in a storage facility is a plus
