District Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.

📋 Description

• Oversee a collection of stores and mentor General Managers to enhance customer and employee experiences.

• Promote operational excellence, implementation of merchandising strategies, productivity, and profitable sales and earnings growth.

• Ensure consistent high performance across stores, evaluated through P&L and various reports.

• Attract, recruit, develop, and retain teams to achieve both short- and long-term business objectives.

• Monitor performance and follow up to guarantee the delivery of results.

• Enhance individual and team capabilities through expectations, discussions, recognition, and accountability.

• Cultivate an inclusive and collaborative workplace.

• Analyze product performance and devise district merchandising strategies using data, tactics, and seasonal trends.

• Conduct effective store visits focused on behaviors that yield business results.

• Formulate contingency plans and alternative strategies to meet objectives.

• Identify and resolve issues with sustainable solutions.

• Keep an eye on the external market and competition.

• Ensure compliance of stores with Gap Inc. policies and procedures.

• Proven ability to drive results, execute according to direction, and manage multiple competing priorities.

• Proven ability to enhance merchandising capabilities and coach to maintain merchant strength within stores.

• Proven ability to assemble diverse, high-performing teams in an inclusive atmosphere.

• Proven ability to deliver an outstanding customer experience across all channels.

• Proven ability to embrace challenges, take risks, learn rapidly, and facilitate change.

• Proven ability to exceed expectations and leverage improvements or insights to surpass existing goals.

• College degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of multi-unit, high-volume, complex business leadership experience is preferred.

• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Willingness to travel overnight and/or between stores as needed.

• Capability to lift and carry 30 lbs.
