District Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a primary liaison for designated distributors and key retail partners.

• Assist in the formulation of annual business strategies and work towards meeting yearly and regional business goals under the guidance of the Zone Manager.

• Execute sanctioned business strategies and tactics within the designated territory.

• Communicate and implement programs at both wholesale and retail levels to meet sales, distribution, promotional, and merchandising targets.

• Maintain consistent communication with wholesalers, retailers, and retail field sales managers.

• Create local market strategies and offer direction and support to assigned distributors.

• Oversee retail execution strategies and initiate activities within assigned markets.

• Track product inventory levels and ensure proper inventory rotation.

• Conduct quarterly reviews addressing distribution, sales volume, pricing, execution opportunities, competitive dynamics, retailer trends, and co-op spending.

• Design programs for underperforming products and assist in setting annual distribution goals.

• Create key-account target lists for wholesalers and provide updates on distribution progress.

• Reinforce standards for distribution, shelf organization, and merchandising.

• Manage local sampling initiatives and engage consumers and retailers at events and trade shows.

• Establish and monitor point-of-sale budgets and oversee the distribution of point-of-sale materials.

• Conduct sales presentations and planning sessions with distributor teams.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including National/Chain Account Managers, Marketing, and Brewery Operations.

• Provide written summaries of meetings, retail days, progress tracking, budgets, and market opportunities.

• Troubleshoot draft beer systems when qualified.

• Oversee the distributor bill-back process in compliance with DGY policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience.

• Must reside in the Indianapolis, Indiana area.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to articulate clearly and convincingly.

• Strong listening skills and effective group presentation abilities.

• Proficient in basic trade mathematics.

• Capacity to prioritize and plan work tasks, maintain attention to detail, and manage time efficiently.

• Ability to establish goals and objectives.

• Capability to follow instructions and respond appropriately to management directives.

• Willingness to take independent actions and calculated risks.

• Valid driver's license with a strong driving record.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 35 pounds.
