District Business Manager – Southeast

📋 Description

• Provide direct leadership, coaching, and management to a district of Therapeutic Sales Specialists.

• Develop and execute business plans for designated districts.

• Assist individual sales representatives in adopting the next-generation working methods and next-best-action engine.

• Implement strategy and direction for the Specialty Franchise.

• Collaborate with Commercial Operations to enhance field-force alignment.

• Foster innovative customer engagement through both virtual and in-person selling opportunities.

• Build and nurture a high-performing, diverse sales team through effective recruitment, selection, development, and retention.

• Communicate and implement product strategies and messages as per the established plan.

• Support CRM and customer engagement initiatives through the Azurity Commercial Excellence platform, which includes sales-force strategy and analysis, targeting, territory alignment, reporting, and incentive plans.

• Execute strategies aimed at improving sales routing and overall operational efficiency.

• Collaborate in training related to product knowledge, selling skills, systems, processes, and reporting metrics.

• Maximize business opportunities and address customer needs by working with cross-functional teams.

• Partner with HR on recruitment, employee development, and performance management initiatives.

• Gather and analyze internal and external data to inform business decisions.

• Report directly to the Sales Director and collaborate with Commercial Leadership, Commercial Operations & Analytics, Marketing, Market Access & Strategic Accounts, Sales Training, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Legal, Compliance, and Finance.


⛳️ Requirements

• BA or BS degree (MBA or advanced degree preferred).

• Over 3 years of progressive experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales, including field sales management and product launch experience as both a representative and a sales leader.

• Proficiency in customer-facing organization sales strategy and optimization within multi-channel customers, with a robust record of success in pharmacy-related areas.

• Strong leadership, team-building, and organizational capabilities.

• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop sales professionals and coordinate business activities across functions.

• Strong strategic and analytical skills.

• Experience in utilizing syndicated sales data by customer channel, longitudinal patient-level data, and payer-level data.

• Excellent communication and influencing skills across all organizational levels.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented setting and manage multiple product launches across various therapeutic areas.

• Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical regulatory/legal environment and compliance requirements, including the PhRMA Code.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Retail and Institutional Marketplace.

• Familiarity with CRM call reporting and dashboard systems.

• Extensive proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.

• Willingness to travel approximately 75%, including overnight stays.

• Must be able to sit for extended periods; frequently stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear.

• May occasionally need to climb stairs and/or use elevators.

• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• Must be capable of manipulating a keyboard and operating a telephone and handheld devices.
