District Asset Protection Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Educate, mentor, and guide associates in executing essential Asset Protection initiatives.

• Implement Merchandise Protection Standards, Pick Ticket, and Lockup programs.

• Assess Front End Accuracy, theft and fraud, and G.E.T. initiatives.

• Advocate for safety initiatives, ensuring adherence to safety culture, parking-lot safety strategies, and related processes.

• Confirm that third-party security personnel comprehend and adhere to post orders.

• Collaborate with DHRM and District Manager on the de-escalation of serious incidents and potential threats of violence.

• Instruct store leadership and associates on theft/fraud, operational shrink, and shrink reduction methods.

• Cultivate relationships with Government Relations and local law enforcement for regional support.

• Enter internal cases into the case management system in alignment with Asset Protection policies.

• Analyze activity cans, alerts, physical security, theft patterns, exception-based reporting, theft portal, and AP Performance Hub.

• Identify theft patterns by category and SKU, developing appropriate solutions.

• Conduct interviews for internal theft investigations.

• Review, approve, or deny external cases submitted by Asset Protection Specialists.

• Evaluate district and store shrink performance and oversee the Company's shrink reduction strategy.

• Make hiring and disciplinary decisions, including terminations, utilizing HR resources.

• Staff and schedule Asset Protection associates based on operational needs, theft trends, and store insights.

• Develop Asset Protection associates, leads, and case documentation.

• Conduct performance evaluations and engage in talent reviews.

• Coach associates on safety practices and environmental/regulatory processes, including HHM and SRC programs.

• Report to the Regional Asset Protection Manager while managing 5–8 direct reports.

• Travel overnight 5% to 20% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Associate's degree or an equivalent qualification in a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience.

• Over 3 years of multi-unit retail Asset Protection experience.

• Proven experience in leading a team focused on addressing external/internal theft.

• Experience in conducting internal investigations, including interviews.

• Familiarity with Organized Retail Crime elements and partnerships with law enforcement.

• Experience in utilizing and managing physical security and investigative systems, including CCTV, alarms, and Exception Based Reporting.

• LPC/LPQ Certification required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Knowledge of presentation software, such as Microsoft PowerPoint.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complaints, resolve disputes, and address grievances from internal and external customers.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Licensure/certification requirements may vary by location.

• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule across multiple store locations.
