Distributor Territory Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Manage the designated territory and stimulate product demand while upholding Keystone's Light Made Easy commitment.

• Collaborate with sales agencies, distributor customers, and contractors to provide education on Keystone products.

• Oversee performance and cultivate long-term relationships with customers, sales agents, and end-users.

• Deliver sales training to sales agencies and distributor customers.

• Build relationships with specifiers, customers, sales agents, and end-users through outstanding customer service.

• Supervise independent sales agencies to ensure alignment with company objectives and performance standards.

• Formulate sales strategies with sales agencies and department leadership.

• Analyze sales trends and create strategies to seize opportunities.

• Attain expertise in Keystone and competitor products, pricing, and trends, and communicate findings to team management.

• Travel to each market to engage with distributors, specifiers, and end-users.

• Maintain communication with existing customers for potential repeat orders.

• Build and manage contact information for current decision-makers.

• Exhibit at and participate in trade shows.

• Conduct cold calls to generate new business.

• Collaborate closely with the Inside Sales contact on current and future opportunities.

• Provide insights to the product team regarding market trends.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in the lighting industry is essential.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Outstanding capacity to listen and tailor responses to meet the needs of others.

• Proficient in computer software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.

• Ability to quickly learn new computer systems.

• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and precision.

• Strong time management abilities and capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Excellent relationship management and customer service skills.

• Must reside within the supported territory: Indiana, Kentucky, Arkansas, or Memphis (West TN).

• Regular travel within the territory is required.

• No onsite office presence is necessary.
