This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Drive local pull-through initiatives and engage in co-selling with national distributors.

• Oversee regional distributor relationships while managing connections with regional distribution accounts.

• Deliver top-notch sales and service within the designated territory.

• Promote and sell Signode’s range of packaging systems, consumables, machinery, tools, and services.

• Employ a consultative, solutions-oriented sales approach to offer comprehensive packaging systems.

• Achieve or surpass sales targets by acquiring new distributors and enhancing shelf space with existing clients.

• Negotiate volume, contracts, and pricing agreements with key distribution accounts.

• Develop networks and cultivate relationships with industry leaders to enhance opportunities within the channel.

• Collaborate with logistics and customer service teams to ensure order fulfillment and address delivery and inventory challenges.

• Work together with Operations, Product Management, Accounts Receivable, Finance, regional teams, national teams, and strategic account managers.

• Keep current sales opportunities and customer records updated in the CRM system.

• Create a Time and Territory Management Plan to optimize sales efficiency.

• Communicate distributor needs, market opportunities, and competitive insights with sales and marketing teams.

• Document and present the Signode Value Proposition through contribution-to-profit reports.

• Train distributor representatives on product applications and knowledge.

• Support Accounts Receivable in collecting past-due balances and maintaining accounts in good standing.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• 3–5 years of sales experience.

• Prior experience in distribution channels is preferred.

• Must reside within the assigned territory.

• Willingness to travel overnight up to 65% of the time.

• Basic understanding of Signode’s products and their applications.

• Proficiency in using a CRM system.

• Ability to interpret Power BI dashboards.

• General proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

• Strong technical skills.

• Knowledge of social media platforms.

• Excellent negotiation abilities.

• Resourceful and proactive.

• Strong organizational and planning skills.

• Effective time management capabilities.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.

• Assertive and confident in approach.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States; the company does not provide sponsorship for employment-based visas.
