This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Drive local sales through pull-through initiatives and collaborate with national distributors.
• Manage relationships with regional distributors and oversee regional distribution accounts.
• Promote and sell Signode's packaging systems, which include consumables, machines, tools, and services.
• Employ a consultative, solutions-oriented sales approach to provide comprehensive packaging systems.
• Achieve or surpass sales targets by onboarding new distributors and expanding shelf space with existing clients.
• Negotiate volume agreements, contracts, and pricing terms with key principals and executives at major distribution accounts.
• Establish networks with industry leaders to enhance Signode's opportunities within the channel.
• Collaborate with logistics and customer service teams to ensure order fulfillment and address delivery and inventory concerns.
• Work alongside Operations, Product Management, Accounts Receivable, Finance, regional teams, national teams, and strategic account managers.
• Keep an updated record of sales opportunities and customer information in the CRM system.
• Develop a Time and Territory Management Plan to optimize sales efficiency.
• Communicate distributor needs, market prospects, and competitive insights with sales and marketing teams.
• Document and present the Signode Value Proposition through contribution-to-profit reports.
• Provide training for distributor representatives on product applications and knowledge.
• Support Accounts Receivable in collecting overdue balances and maintaining accounts in good standing.
• Manage a sales volume of approximately $10–12 million.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3–5 years of experience in sales.
• Experience in the distribution channel is preferred.
• Must reside within the assigned territory.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 65% of the time.
• Basic understanding of Signode’s products and their applications.
• Proficiency in using a CRM system.
• Ability to interpret Power BI dashboards.
• General proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong technological skills.
• Familiarity with social media.
• Strong negotiation abilities.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
