This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver essential advisory and strategic planning services to clients in recovery.

• Manage a sizable team.

• Assist local governments in their long-term recovery efforts following natural disasters.

• Utilize expertise in the FEMA Public Assistance (PA) Program—Permanent Work (Categories C-G)—to effectively seek and combine funding for intricate post-catastrophic disaster requirements.

• Act as a subject matter expert in the FEMA PA Program and respond to policy-related inquiries.

• Supervise a multidisciplinary recovery team addressing cost recovery, infrastructure redevelopment, economic development, housing, social services, and similar fields.

• Assign tasks, evaluate staffing requirements, and create methodologies to address unmet needs while optimizing funding.

• Maintain robust project management practices and ensure client visibility.

• Guarantee the quality of deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous assistance to local governments affected by natural disasters through various federal disaster grant programs from the initial stages of a disaster until grant obligation and closeout.

• At least four years (4) of experience in the FEMA PA Program, including Permanent Work (Categories C-G).

• Proven experience in managing complex and evolving projects.

• High proficiency in written communication, with the capability to produce nuanced and policy-complex recommendation documents.

• Strong verbal communication abilities, including the capacity to present to high-level stakeholders.

• Prior experience overseeing the workload of large multidisciplinary teams with diverse levels of expertise.

• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, databases, and various software/technology platforms.

• A bachelor's degree is required.
