This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Deliver essential advisory and strategic planning services to clients focused on recovery.

• Manage a sizable team effectively.

• Assist local governments in their long-term recovery efforts following natural disasters.

• Supervise intricate and varied disaster recovery initiatives.

• Utilize expertise in the FEMA Public Assistance Program—Permanent Work (Categories C-G)—to tackle complex issues and requirements arising from catastrophic disasters.

• Act as a subject matter expert for the FEMA PA Program and address policy-related inquiries.

• Lead a multidisciplinary recovery team that encompasses cost recovery, infrastructure redevelopment, economic development, housing, and social services.

• Assign tasks, evaluate staffing requirements, and create methodologies to address unmet needs while maximizing funding opportunities.

• Uphold project management best practices and ensure client transparency throughout the process.

• Guarantee the quality of deliverables and maintain alignment with Hagerty's core values.


⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience supporting local governments affected by natural disasters through various federal disaster grant programs from the initial stages of a disaster until grant obligation and closeout.

• At least four years of experience within the FEMA PA Program, including Permanent Work (Categories C-G).

• Proven track record in managing complex and evolving projects.

• High proficiency in written communication, with the ability to produce nuanced and policy-complex recommendation documents.

• Excellent verbal communication skills, including the capability to present to high-level stakeholders.

• Prior experience in overseeing workloads for large multidisciplinary teams with diverse experience levels.

• Strong command of MS Office products, databases, and various software/technology platforms.

• A bachelor's degree is required.
