This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Foster robust relationships with financial advisors, clients, and internal stakeholders to facilitate the insurance application process.
• Engage with clients and financial professionals to address inquiries, provide updates, and ensure a seamless application experience.
• Act as a resource for financial advisors by offering insights on insurance applications, coverage options, and application prerequisites.
• Examine preliminary inquiries and available information to evaluate potential eligibility and pinpoint additional information required.
• Assess insurance applications and client information to determine eligibility and available coverage options.
• Analyze financial, health, and occupational details in accordance with company guidelines and training.
• Oversee applications throughout the review process, collecting information and tracking outstanding requirements.
• Clarify underwriting decisions and respond to inquiries from financial advisors and business partners.
• Collaborate with medical, technical, operational teams, and external partners to ensure accurate and timely decisions.
• Utilize diverse information sources to evaluate applications and provide well-informed recommendations.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory standards, and quality benchmarks.
• Achieve productivity and quality targets, support process enhancements, and resolve issues effectively.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the capacity to make independent decisions and apply sound judgment in rule application.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage confidential information while exercising tact, diplomacy, and resourcefulness.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with various software applications.
• Ability to work accurately while balancing speed and flexibility in both team and independent settings.
• Highly organized with the capability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
• Comfortable making prompt, well-reasoned underwriting decisions even when information may be incomplete, complex, or subject to interpretation.
• Ability to connect various data points, think critically through ambiguous situations, and resolve complex issues without unnecessary delays in decision-making.
