Disability Benefits Examiner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Assess and analyze medical, occupational, and policy-related information to establish eligibility for disability benefits.

• Collect and evaluate necessary documentation to ensure prompt claim decisions and rectify any discrepancies.

• Create and implement claim management strategies that facilitate effective resolution of claims and management of liabilities.

• Deliver clear, precise, and timely communication to claimants, policyholders, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Guarantee accurate benefit payments by recognizing deductible income and maintaining the integrity of claim system data.

• Investigate and assess disability claims to ascertain eligibility in accordance with policy terms.

• Oversee claims from initiation to resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in disability claims, disability benefits administration, insurance claims, or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting medical, occupational, and policy information to inform benefit or claim decisions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to convey complex information in a clear and professional manner.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in reviewing documentation and managing claims.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check and verification of employment, education, and licensing.

• Must be eligible for bonding.
