This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and oversee the operational framework of Natera’s Pharma Discovery Lab.
• Manage both internal and external project portfolios from their inception to execution.
• Monitor portfolio metrics, budgets, stage-gated milestones, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate activities across wet lab, dry lab, bioinformatics, RWD analytics, and pharma partnerships.
• Establish the Pharma Discovery Lab (PDL) with lab and IT operations within budget and schedule.
• Lead cross-functional projects internally across PDL and the BioPharma business unit.
• Track deliverables, timelines, and resources for pharmaceutical contracts and identify risks.
• Coordinate shared infrastructure and capital expenditure planning between PDL and the internal R&D Lab.
• Assist with resource allocation and hiring strategies to address capability gaps.
• Facilitate working groups, client status meetings, and internal review sessions.
• Support go-to-market strategies and monetization frameworks alongside business development and finance teams.
• Maintain visibility on budgets, resource forecasts, and expenditure tracking.
• Convert scientific priorities into operational plans for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Create materials for clients, support KOL engagement, and develop scientific narratives.
• Manage change and communications as PDL expands.
• Report to the leadership of PDL.
• Over 10 years of experience in oncology drug development, translational research, or biomarker/CDx program management.
• Experience ideally encompassing both pharmaceuticals and diagnostics/lab-services sectors.
• Proven track record in leading intricate, cross-functional programs, governance operations, portfolio/program oversight, and senior-level stakeholder management.
• Experience overseeing biomarker sample operations, biorepository/biobank workflows, or CDx-related laboratory operations.
• Strong financial skills, including budget forecasting, resource planning, and contract structuring experience.
• Proficient in meeting facilitation, executive communication, and document preparation.
• Comfortable presenting to senior leadership and external pharmaceutical partners.
• Ability to navigate uncertainty and establish processes/governance from scratch.
• An advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or MS) in life sciences is required.
• An MBA or equivalent business training is advantageous.
• Preferred: experience in biopharma translational medicine, biomarker portfolios, or clinical operations within a large pharmaceutical or biotech company.
• Preferred: knowledge of liquid biopsy/MRD, CGP (WES/WTS/WGS), spatial transcriptomics, single-cell, or digital pathology platforms.
• Preferred: experience supporting biomarker strategy for regulatory submissions (IND/IDE, companion diagnostics) or managing biomarker operations during Phase 1–3 clinical trials.
