πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Serve as the representative for Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine and MedTech at the legislative, administrative, regulatory, and executive levels of state government, as well as local jurisdictions when necessary.

β€’ Promote the interests of Johnson & Johnson, its operating entities, healthcare providers, and patients in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Montana, and Wyoming.

β€’ Formulate, execute, and manage strategies that influence state legislative and regulatory processes.

β€’ Facilitate patient and provider access to cutting-edge therapies and medical solutions while supporting business growth initiatives.

β€’ Build and nurture relationships with state and local government entities.

β€’ Draft and advance legislative and regulatory policy proposals in collaboration with internal partners and external stakeholders.

β€’ Manage relationships with trade, professional, allied, educational, labor, and other key stakeholder organizations.

β€’ Identify, analyze, and report on legislative, regulatory, healthcare trends, and emerging issues.

β€’ Suggest and oversee strategies for addressing business and policy challenges.

β€’ Direct internal work streams and engage external stakeholders to achieve measurable outcomes.

β€’ Influence state policies that encourage favorable coverage, reimbursement, and access to products and services in government programs.

β€’ Advocate for an open business environment through state and local legislation and regulations.

β€’ Take part in and lead industry associations, steering committees, and networking groups.

β€’ Maintain documentation, files, and resources relevant to state governmental activities.

β€’ Travel primarily within Colorado and Arizona, with occasional travel to other states as required.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.

β€’ At least 10 years of experience in a business-related field.

β€’ Minimum of five years of experience in government and/or public policy.

β€’ Previous experience as a lobbyist at either the state or federal level.

β€’ Proven background in drafting and promoting legislative and regulatory proposals.

β€’ Comprehensive understanding of the political landscape and legislative processes, including budget development, in the assigned states.

β€’ A demonstrated history of successful execution.

β€’ Capability to process substantial health, product, and public/private healthcare system information and apply it to legislative and regulatory contexts.

β€’ Proficient influencing skills and the ability to convey complex information clearly.

β€’ Strong prioritization skills, along with excellent oral and written communication abilities.

β€’ Proven capability to address complex business issues with a solution-focused, strategic mindset.

β€’ Willingness to travel domestically up to 60% of the time.

β€’ Compliance with healthcare regulations and applicable government lobbying laws is essential.
