This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Oversee one or more areas of focus within Capital Markets Product Control
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of P&L, PAA, and general ledger operations
• Initiate or review accounting entries, finalize reconciliations, and provide financial attestations
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and best practices
• Conduct complex analyses and investigations
• Drive process and control enhancements
• Prepare operational accounting readiness for new products, changes in accounting, and system implementations or upgrades
• Engage in change initiatives by gathering requirements, designing processes, testing systems, and conducting post-implementation reviews
• Collaborate with Front Office, Finance, Risk and Controls, Trade Support, Project Delivery, Technology, and Operations
• Manage daily and monthly P&L reconciliations while obtaining Trader approvals
• Supervise month-end and quarterly reconciliations from source systems to the general ledger
• Oversee monthly attestation processes for Capital Markets Product Operations Accounting accounts
• Lead and develop a highly specialized team
• Enhance data lineage and operational processes
• Manage risk, control, and service-standard activities for a heavily regulated business
• Spearhead change programs and continuous improvement of business procedures and processes
• Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as industry peers
• Champion the integration of AI into daily and monthly operations
• Bachelor's degree
• 5-10 years of experience in the financial services industry, emphasizing capital markets, product control, and associated regulatory, control, and operational environments
• An accounting designation (CA, CPA) or over 10 years of direct experience is mandatory
• Familiarity with US and IFRS accounting standards, including audit practices and financial reporting processes
• Extensive knowledge of Capital Markets Products and Services
• General working knowledge of Capital Market Product and Financial Reporting systems
• Strong understanding of the Capital Markets Product Operations business, services, and organization
• Proficient computer skills, particularly with Excel and VBA
• Leadership, people management, and diverse talent management abilities
• Skills in change management, relationship management, influence, and negotiation
• Knowledge of AI
• Familiarity with systems such as Imagine, ADP (BPS), ICI (Impact), Calypso, SwapOne, Global One, Essbase/Smartview, and S4 Hanna GL is advantageous
• A CFA designation is considered a plus
