This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Report directly to the Chief People Officer, collaborate closely with the Executive Leadership Team, and act as a trusted advisor on significant compensation and equity matters.
• Anticipate the impact of AI on workforce composition, skills requirements, market availability, and talent valuation.
• Develop and enhance skills-based reward systems and job architecture.
• Collaborate with functional leaders to evaluate the compensation effects of automation, role redesign, and the introduction of new positions.
• Create differentiated compensation programs that reward impact.
• Benchmark and refine the compensation philosophy, bands, and structures.
• Establish a compensation philosophy and infrastructure that accommodates multi-market hiring, geographic variations, and international growth.
• Oversee pay transparency, equity systems, communications, analytics, and ongoing equity audits.
• Modernize benefits and clarify equity value through education, tools, and effective communication.
• Develop data, modeling, and market intelligence capabilities.
• Ensure that programs are competitive, compliant across various states, scalable, and resilient.
• Assess, implement, and enhance compensation technology platforms.
• Empower managers to confidently discuss pay, equity, and total rewards with their teams.
• Over 10 years of experience in Total Rewards, with a proven history of developing strategies in dynamic, high-growth organizations.
• Strategic, business-oriented mindset linking rewards to talent density, retention of key performers, and overall company performance.
• Proactive understanding of how AI and evolving skill demands are transforming workforce composition and compensation structures.
• Proficient in utilizing AI tools in personal work and capable of instilling AI-driven rigor within the Total Rewards function.
• Extensive expertise in compensation, including skills architecture, compensation banding, variable structures, and executive incentive strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of equity, encompassing scenarios from Series C to exit-stage, founder ownership dynamics, transitions from options to RSUs, dilution modeling, and executive equity strategies.
• Strong analytical skills, advanced modeling capabilities, and fluency with contemporary compensation/HR systems and market data such as Workday, Radford, and Pave.
• Presence and influence at the executive level; a hands-on builder who can formulate and advocate for strategy while advising executive leaders.
