Director, Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop technology strategies, roadmaps, architectural decisions, and technical methodologies for intricate digital products and platforms.

• Oversee comprehensive technology delivery across frontend, backend, APIs, cloud applications, and headless CMS platforms.

• Offer technical guidance on contemporary web architectures utilizing JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and REST/GraphQL APIs.

• Establish technology stacks, technical standards, governance, and engineering best practices across various teams.

• Advise teams on cloud infrastructure, scalability, security, CI/CD, DevOps, and application performance.

• Discover opportunities to incorporate AI and Generative AI into products, services, and workflows, including LLMs, Vertex AI, and Claude/Claude Code.

• Lead, mentor, and assist global, cross-functional engineering teams and complex workstreams.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Strategy to transform business goals into scalable technical solutions.

• Articulate technical strategies, architectural choices, risks, and opportunities to senior stakeholders and clients.

• Contribute to the advancement of technology processes, standards, and capabilities throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in technology, software engineering, and digital product development, preferably in agency or consulting settings.

• In-depth knowledge of modern web architecture, including frontend, backend, APIs, cloud applications, and headless CMS.

• Strong technical expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and REST/GraphQL APIs.

• Comprehensive understanding of AI and Generative AI, encompassing LLMs, Vertex AI, Claude/Claude Code, and their integration into products and workflows.

• Demonstrated experience with technical strategy, architecture, technology roadmaps, and end-to-end delivery.

• Extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure, security, scalability, CI/CD, DevOps, and engineering best practices.

• Experience in defining technology governance, standards, and technical frameworks across various teams.

• Proven track record of leading and mentoring global, cross-functional engineering teams.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to clarify complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical senior audiences.

• A strong collaborative mindset and experience working across Technology, Product, Design, and Strategy.

• If the chosen candidate possesses a degree in Engineering or a related field, they must provide their professional license.
