
Director, Sustainability Strategy – Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct the creation and implementation of Littelfuse's worldwide sustainability strategy and roadmap.
• Embed sustainability priorities within business operations and decision-making processes alongside senior leaders.
• Establish sustainability objectives, metrics, and systems for performance tracking.
• Oversee the activities of the Sustainability team and foster cross-functional organizational change.
• Spearhead enterprise readiness and compliance initiatives for emerging sustainability regulations and reporting requirements.
• Keep abreast of regulations pertaining to climate, packaging, product stewardship, and sustainability reporting.
• Formulate compliance roadmaps and governance frameworks across global operations.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Product Management, Operations, and EHS teams.
• Manage greenhouse gas inventory, including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions programs.
• Supervise carbon accounting methodologies, the quality of emissions data, and reporting processes.
• Oversee sustainability data systems, reporting platforms, carbon accounting tools, and databases.
• Assist in achieving climate goals, emissions reduction initiatives, and decarbonization strategies.
• Coordinate the collection of sustainability data across global sites and business functions.
• Direct the sustainability disclosure strategy and manage the annual Sustainability Report and external disclosures.
• Organize reporting processes, timelines, external assurance, controls, governance, website content, and ESG disclosures.
• Lead sustainability information requests from customers, investors, and stakeholders.
• Aid in product environmental footprint assessments, life cycle assessments, and sustainability enhancements.
• Partner with R&D and New Product Development on sustainable product design initiatives.
• Oversee activities and governance processes of the Sustainability Steering Committee.
• Create executive communications and updates for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Offer strategic insights regarding sustainability risks, opportunities, and emerging trends.
• Set up sustainability data governance processes and internal controls.
• Enhance data quality, consistency, transparency, and auditability.
• Support assurance requirements and the ongoing improvement of sustainability data management and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Engineering, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in sustainability, ESG, environmental compliance, climate strategy, or related areas.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing programs and influencing cross-functional teams within a global organization.
• Proven experience in leading sustainability reporting, carbon accounting, regulatory compliance, or ESG programs.
• Strong knowledge of sustainability disclosure frameworks and standards, including GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, and emerging regulatory reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with greenhouse gas accounting methodologies and Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions reporting.
• Experience in managing sustainability software platforms and extensive sustainability data programs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex global projects involving various stakeholders and business functions.
• Excellent executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management abilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
• Background in manufacturing, industrial, electronics, or technology sectors.
• Knowledge of product sustainability, lifecycle assessment (LCA), circular economy principles, and sustainable product development.
• Experience in supporting sustainability assurance or audit processes.
• Understanding of sustainability compliance requirements across North America, Europe, and Asia.
• Professional certifications in sustainability, environmental management, climate, or ESG-related fields.
